The R2 is an aerodynamic Smart Cycling Helmet designed for road cyclists. Sena’s Bluetooth Intercom technology allows for up to 4 riders to connect and chat from helmet to helmet at a range of just over a half mile (900 meters). When connecting with just one other rider, users will experience HD intercom quality. Audio is delivered through built-in speakers located just above the ears, which allows for awareness of surrounding sounds such as traffic, unlike in-ear buds. Located in the front of the helmet is a seamlessly integrated microphone that features Sena’s patented Advanced Noise Control™ technology, picking up and transmitting your voice more clearly.
The Sena Utility App gives you total control of the R2 helmet through your smartphone. Adjust device settings or take a look at the Quick Start Guide all through the app. The Sena Utility App also features Smart Intercom Pairing, which lets you scan a QR code on a friend’s app and instantly pair devices together for quicker intercom access.
By pairing your phone to the helmet, the R2 allows you to hear GPS navigation, take phone calls, hear fitness app cues and listen to your favorite music. Pairing your phone to the R2 allows for safe and hands-free access to many of the functions on your phone.
The sleek helmet also features a built-in taillight, improving your visibility to others on the road. In addition to the convenient taillight, the R2 bike helmet is built to withstand an impact, providing necessary protection thanks to an in-mold polycarbonate shell. The helmet is lined with removable and washable inner padding, a smooth nylon chin strap, and a spin lock, all for superior protection and a secure fit.
